A classic tale of a natural born country singer, Nathan Wayne was southern born and raised. He discovered his gift for music at an early age and felt an immediate pull to refine and diversify his skills. Through self-study, formal education and experience, Nathan Wayne grew to be a multi-talented artist ranging from percussion to strings; from vocals to lyrics successfully covering the genre gamut. As these abilities developed, Nathan found his soul gravitated toward a very specific sound; moved by artists like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Shooter Jennings and Kris Kristopherson, Nathan began what would be his life’s passion… the outlaw country movement. This dusty backroad path lead him to Nashville, TN where he found himself performing, touring and writing with noteworthy artists from a variety of genres. This experience would prove to solidify what his heart beat for; Nathan returned to his roots and created what would be the sound he had been chasing his whole life. The Nathan Wayne band was born. This melodic gathering of seasoned performers would come to create an outlaw country revival like none other. Each player, a unique and exceptional talent, all lead by Nathan’s energy and vision. Certainly, they are something to experience.
As a strong supporter of the musical community, Nathan Wayne continues to perform with other artists for studio sessions and live shows. He has been privileged to open for national acts such as Gretchen Wilson, Joe Diffie, Little Big Town, Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Gracin, and several others.
Along with writing songs for the band’s new EP to be released next year, Nathan has collaborated with fellow musician Johnny Orr to create “You Can’t Hide Love” one of Johnny’s most successful hits now climbing the music row charts.
