The Silent Treatment / Bio

The five members of The Silent Treatment began writing songs in a small studio apartment in Chicago, in late 2001. Constant performing and promotion quickly spread the word about the band. Local radio began to catch on and songs from The Silent Treatment's first CD EP, "Foreword", were being played on both of Chicago's commercial alternative radio stations. In 2003, The Silent Treatment released their second CD EP, "After Ours", to critical acclaim (refer to 2003 article in AP) . The quintet's third and final release, 2005's CD LP, "For When I Am Now", which launched the band into new musical directions, never made it past post-production, due to serious problems with the band's record label at the time, and distributors. Therefore, after four short years together, the band went their separate ways. They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest; The Silent Treatment proves this theory to be true. However, as with all stars in the universe, something filled with sublimity and gusto is left behind...
