"This is the best music I have ever created!"
Those are powerful words coming from the man who fronted long time rock band Fear The Clown. Andrew West and his latest band Aurora Sky are taking fans on a trip to the past with their latest album.
Aurora Sky's new sound blends a contemporary upbeat vibe, that will make anyone move. This band brings back the idea of close friends walking through life together writing about their discoveries, victories and roadblocks.
Andrew "Gambit" West (Lead Vocals/Guitars) pulls from the rich history of music from his Grandfather Speedy West Sr., Country Music Hall of Famer and Capital Records recording artist, and of his father Speedy West Jr., professional guitarist and teacher.
Although they leave big shoes to fill, Andrew knows his calling is to continue the legacy of sharing inspired music to the world like his family before him.
Together, Andrew and his band mates; Arjavh Aleson (Keyboards/Synth), Michael Finucane (Drums/Samples) and Steve Farnham (Bass) have created a sound and message that everyone can relate to, while maintaining a genuine originality that the music industry has been craving for some time.
Previous fans of Aurora Sky will be pleased to know that the same passion and musical edge is still there, while the band continues to infuse it's New Wave sound which has been influenced by the likes of Duran Duran, Naked Eyes and Mister Mister, as well as current bands Com Truise and Madeon.
"We still have some hard rock vibe's in the new music that will transition perfectly into this album, but as time goes on, tastes in music change and I just want to do something different," said West. "I have be doing hard rock music for over 15 years??, it just feels like it has been run into the ground for me. It's time to change things up and I think we have poured our heart and soul into this music and I think you will be able to tell."
