For over a decade, HafLife has dominated the local and regional scene with their unique brand of Industrial/Funk/Rock, affectionately known as "BootyCore". Forged from Motor City industrial, punk, horror and old school funk, HafLife continues to redefine the live music stage show experience.
HafLife takes it's influence from various genres of music; punk, industrial, funk, heavy metal, celtic, horror, rock, world... you name it you will find it in HafLife's music.
Their ferocious approach has resulted in being nominated or winning in the outstanding industrial artists category at the annual Detroit Music Awards every year of their existence. In 2013, HafLife's "Blood on the Danse Floor" was nominated for outstanding dance/electronic song at the Detroit Music Awards, as well as "Blackeye" being nominated for peoples choice award.
HafLife is a festival favorite performing at such events as the infamous Theatre Bizarre, Tastefest and the Stars and Stripes Festival to name just a few. HafLife are also the official band of the world-reknowned custom chopper builder Ron Harris and Chop Doc's Choppers and also sponsors of the Chop-In Block Builders.
HafLife and or their music, has been featured on Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-in, television commercials for Noir Leather, extreme sports videos, video games as well as several independent films including Bruce Campbell's (Army of Darkness, Evil Dead, Burn Notice) "Hatred of a Moment".
HafLife's self-produced video "WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE" has been nominated for Outstanding Music Video for the Detroit Music Awards.
