Marcus Hancock aka Soncier was born in Fortbragg, North Carolina on
December 7, 1987. As a child he bounced back between Washington Dc and
Maryland. Soncier spent his teenage years in Suitland Maryland. Originally,
from Ohio he grew up in a single parent household until he returned to
Maryland to live with his father. At the tender age of 11 began to develop
a passion for poetry while living in Maryland and adopted PG County as his
new home. He began to write raps at age 14. However, a tragedy soon
inspired him to become the artist known as the "Hero of Hip Hop." Soncier

His near death experienced changed him forever. He began to rap more
seriously shortly after and started recording demos with childhood friend
Noya Merolin. Given a second chance to walk, Soncier vowed to live every
moment sharing his testimony and making positive music. Since than,
Soncier has gained radio play and performed locally around the DMV area and
won numerous showcases. Now a owner of his own entertainment company FYD,
