Jonny Keay Band / Bio

Born in October 1975 to musician parents Jonny began playing drums aged 3, piano aged 9 and bass aged 12.

Jonny recorded his first ep "The Blackfly" in 1993 and 2nd ep in 1994, "Mind Your Head", after which, he performed and recorded with several bands and artists.

Jonny formed several bands with guitarist Pete Harwood from 1995-2001, then formed a group called Mint in 2001 which broke up the following year, leaving Jonny and the bassist Andy Firth to go on to form the Jonny Keay Band.

Recording began on the album "Time To Turn" in 2003. The album was completed in the summer of 2007 and released in February 2008.

The Jonny Keay Band are currently recording their new album "Swings On Roundabouts", which they hope to complete in the winter of 2012, and release in the Summer of 2013.
