Tricia Mitchell writes compelling songs for fun & sensitive people. She was born in Woodstock, NY and grew up in Austin, TX and was a classically trained dancer before picking up a guitar. Her new band is all kinds of awesome.
Mitchell was a finalist in the Austin Songwriters Group's 2012 Bluebird Cafe Competition, a winner of KUTX's Cactus Cafe "Stage to Studio Challenge," and her song "Real Girls" was the KUTX Song of the Day. Sara Hickman recorded two of Mitchell's songs--one happy, one sad--for her "Motherlode" CD.
