Hello! My name is Alex Moore (born August 13, 1990 in Kansas City, Missouri). I now live south of Kansas City, in Joplin. I'm a singer, a guitarist, an electronic instrumentalist and most importantly, a songwriter. I've been playing and writing music for 6 years. In that time I have penned many songs and performed live around Missouri, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. Music is a great passion of mine, so I also record a lot of my own tunes. In 2009 (with bassist Jay Brown and drummer Wes Walker) I formed a band called Goodbye Majesty, as an outlet for our electrified, harder-edged material. My musical influences include Robert Johnson, John Frusciante, Cream, Squarepusher, the Black Keys, the Beatles, and the Jimi Hendrix Experience (among so many others).
My music might be defined in a few words: passion, soul, truth, real, energy, life, and freedom. But of course, listen for yourself and decide. I write simple ballads as well as heavier, wordy progressions. I adore all styles of music including the blues, funk, soul, progressive... basically all music of the electric, acoustic, synthetic or classic variety. My words and music attempt to convey my emotion and authenticity to my listeners. Thank you in advance for taking the time to hear my music. I sincerely hope you enjoy it, as nothing else would make me happier.
