Silo Road / Bio

Silo Road is a 4-piece Americana & Roots ("Ameripolitan") band headquartered out of Austin, Texas. Formed in late 2012, Silo Road evolved from an acoustic Roots act paying homage to classic Texas artists into the powerful live band they are today. Their emphasis on well-crafted storylines, tight harmonies, and dynamic song elements, executed with precise musicianship, has helped them develop a unique sound: Americana forged and hardened in the musical hearth of the great Republic of Texas.

In early 2014, the band booked studio time at Grammy Award winner Dave Willingham’s Echo Lab studio just outside of Denton, TX, to record their first EP, Volume 1. Leading the charge was producer Robert Jason Vandygriff, frontman of seminal Dallas cow-punk band The Von Ehrics.

By March 2014, the five-song EP of original material was released, and Silo Road began aggressively marketing their product, booking shows throughout the state and contacting Texas country and Red Dirt radio outlets in earnest. They began receiving airplay across Texas, as well as in Europe and Australia, with their single, "4 Quarters," breaking the top 50 for both the Texas Music Chart and the Texas Regional Radio Report. They took their infectious brand of music on the road from Amarillo to Houston, playing stages with the likes of Rick Trevino, Statesboro Revue, Courtney Patton, Shelly King, and many more. In August 2014, Silo Road was a featured band on Sun Radio's long-running "Texas Radio Live" music series. Frontman Billy Broome was also invited to play BigFest at Cheatham Street Warehouse, and was also a featured songwriter at the inaugural Dripping Springs Songwriter Festival.

In January 2015, they returned to The Echo Lab to record their first full-length album, "Last Call Love," again with RJV at the console as producer. Funded by a groundswell of grassroots support in a successful Kickstarter campaign, the album emerged in May 2015, heralded with CD Release parties at both the esteemed Saxon Pub in Austin and Love and War in Texas in Plano.
