Her name is Sarah Kilili and she's an up and coming rap artist based out of San Jose, CA that goes under the moniker Mvrigold. During her youth, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, and Stevie Wonder were just a few of the names of those who shaped her foundation. Growing up in the Bay Area, Mvrigold had influences from rap natives like E-40, The Jacka, and Andre Nickatina, particularly in high school. During her senior year onto now, she took all those big name influences and formed her own style which was along the lines of ethereal Rap with occasional R&B vocals. This came to the likes of Nicki Minaj. Missy Elliot, and the female versions of Drake, A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and J. Cole if they were to be mashed up all in one. Mvrigold's been making music in her room ever since she found a way to make beats and press record and has just been progressing ever since to her own rhythmic, radiant, and grimy flow.
