Making noise in the back room of a pub somewhere near Milton Keynes. Instantly starting to find their sound, producing dark melodic pop songs served up on slabs of punk rock guitars, side salad of hardcore drums and a drizzle of sub bass.
The GetGone bring influences from Rock, Punk, Post Hardcore and Grunge together to mould a dark, melodic, hook laden sound.
The band started playing live shows in 2013, playing with Funeral for a Friend,
Trigger Effect, Ocasan, Menshevik, The Dissociates and The Social Club.
The band have also recently received their first national radio play on Radio1’s
Punk Show with Mike Davies.
TheGetGone's first EP ‘Stories and Ruses’ is available in a limited self-released run through their Facebook page. And as of 25-02-14 available to download on iTunes..
In February Punktastic.com chose the EP as their stream of the week,
commenting that; “there’s plenty of woahs and riffs so it’s thumbs up from us!”
The five track EP was recorded and produced by Capdown’s Keith Minter
(www.AC1Studios.com) and artwork by Cardiff’s Philip Morgan
