Breaking into the Jacksonville music scene, Tori Talis released her first pop/dance single, “Hurr”, shortly followed by her newest pop release, "Hit and Run", successfully embracing the high energy of the club and marking herself as an upcoming artist worthy of our attention. With its upbeat sound and edgy lyrics, Talis hopes "Hurr" drives people to "dance all night and have a great time." Her newest release,“Hit and Run”, Talis wants people to “be able to relate and throughly enjoy the music.”
Born and raised in St. Augustine, Florida, Talis is equally as likely to have her hands on a surfboard or rock wall as a microphone, but pinpoints music as her one true love. Her passion started at only eight years old and has been fueled by such pop icons as The Spice Girls, Britney Spears and Katy Perry. And, at age eleven, following the death of her father from cancer, Tori insists that music and songwriting helped her cope with the immeasurable loss. “Music has always been there for me, even when no one else was,” she says. Toriʼs stage career began with a string of theatre productions before an epiphany motivated her to seek out the songwriters at Mighty Music Group to help develop an original sound. “I realized it was ridiculous to spend the rest of my life stuck in a job I didnʼt love. So I resolved to follow my heart and be exactly who I was meant to be. Here I am.”
Rocking a self-described “eclectic variety” style, this sassy lady is as unique as she is bold, and her infectious sound reflects that sense of autonomy.
Tori is currently back in the studio, working on her third release. Connect with Tori Talis on Facebook and check out her music on YouTube.
