Throw Away was formed in the summer of 2010 be members Sean and Matt with the intention of making raw 80's style hxc punk. Quickly the band began to embrace and incorporate a wider variety of styles into their music including grunge rock, 90's alternative, shoegaze, goth, deathrock and noise rock. The band aims to blend a variety of styles while keeping the punk energy it was originally intended to have while incorporating and embracing other elements found in a music styles previously listed. The music is meant to be dark yet energetic.
Lyrically the band is introspective and cryptic with an emphasis on perceptions of reality, hope, and lost idealism.
In the spring of 2012, with the addition of Ian (Gish) the band began to grow musically, adding sonic layers to the band, which produced a richer sound.
The Band is currently working on an full length album titled "Deathpop: and the Psychedelic Sly Machine" and plans on releasing an EP in the near future free for digital download.
