Meaxic is a progressive rock/metal project started by Jeet Suresh Paul.
Jeet started writing music around 2008 and has slowly developed his style and technique. Taking influences from bands like Metallica and Alter Bridge, he loves to combine thrashy riffs with melodic vocal lines. Recently, he has drawn influences from Periphery, Tesseract and other progressive bands.
Sudeip Ghosh, now the lead guitarist of Meaxic, has been in the music scene for quite a while. His influences from guitar legends like John Petrucci reflect in his style of playing.
Nick Johnson has agreed to back Meaxic up with the bass. He's been learning the songs and playing the shows so for all intents and purposes, he's part of the band. Nick likes all kinds of music, including progressive rock. He's also getting into bands like Periphery and Animals as Leaders.
New to the family, and drummer of Meaxic, is Denis Macabre. Denis has been playing drums for about 20 years and has been all over the music scene with bands like Confusion NYC and Life Generator. He loves death metal, prog metal and hardcore genres. He's adapted well to the band and has provided a key component to the band's lineup.
Meaxic is now officially on the music scene in New York and are slowly establishing their relevance. With an EP set for release early 2015, only time will tell where this band will go
