Diving headfirst into electronic grooves, rock riffs, and a release of subsonic power, this trio from Nashville, Tennessee sends a universal message to all who are in search of a new style of feel-good music.
Formed in 2011, Singer/Guitarist Alex Skyles has been creating music and touring with drummer Zach Mosier (drums) for over 7 years. They eventually joined forces with Alex's cousin Zach Crouch (bass and vocals) to complete the trio. In early 2012, Alex recorded and mixed Spacetrain's first 5 songs which firmly established Spacetrain's musical style and philosophy, focusing on tight grooves, melodic vocals harmonies, and unique songwriting. Originally from St. Louis, Spacetrain is currently selling out shows in their hometown and quickly building a solid foundation in Nashville, TN where they currently reside. Since the move to their new home, they've began a steady stream of appearances, including shows at many of the city's landmark venues such as Exit/In, The End and The Rutledge Theater. In November of 2012, Spacetrain won the Hollywood Records Showcase giving Nashville their first taste of Spacetrain music catching many new fans… 2013 was a successful year for Spacetrain. They performed at MusicTree Festival and Music in the Middle as showcasing artists. The band also won an Ernie Ball national Battle of the Bands contest in July playing a slot on Vans Warped Tour; in addition, the band went on to compete in The Battle for Pointfest at Pop's in Sauget, IL. They successfully won two rounds, which not only one them a slot on Pointfest, but an opening for Stone Temple Pilots in December of 2013! Currently, they are working on a full-length that will be released in 2014.
