A unique R&B/Pop mash-up is Idea. She is a singer/ songwriter born in Baltimore, MD on May 26, 1990 and raised in a small city in St. Mary's County, MD. Idea’s infatuation with music has always existed. From her early childhood years, Idea has expressed a huge interest in singing. Singing in music class and joining choir as early as schools allowed, set the stage for Idea's debut as a musician. First writing poetry at a young age then, beginning to write songs at age 12 her writing skills have now evolved into powerful R&B Rhythm with pop drive and soulful lyrics. Starting with platforms such as school choir and talent shows have helped Idea gain knowledge and experience in music and performance.
Singing in school choir has given her the foundation of her knowledge and experience in the musical arts. In 2011, Idea was introduced to studio recording. Since then she has been polishing her skills by writing and releasing original works such as "Yesterday" which was the first studio recording Idea has ever released. Her follow up song "Theraflu", has become her signature song. Idea continues to show just how fearless and limitless her music can be by releasing a record called "Will you go there", a cover of The Weekend's "Wicked Games", with her original and very personal composition. Idea has, also, done several reference tracks for producers all the way in the U.K. Idea’s single, “Fool”, is fresh and vibrant.
Performing up and down the east coast from D.C and Maryland all the way down to Georgia, Idea is branching out and finding her way to new audiences. She has been working diligently on her upcoming EP "Mind Flow” and rebranding and rehearsing for live show. Idea is a new flavor, with a different tone. She is talented and passionate about her music. If you haven't heard Idea yet, you're missing out. If you want soul, originality and diversity in a modern package, you need Idea.
