After two years of touring the Midwest, Southwest, West Coast and playing festivals such as Rocklahoma and SXSW Tulsa based quartet Sleepwalking Home have teamed up with producer C.J. Cochran(Standby Records, Outline in Color) to record their second EP “Army Of Skin." Sleepwalking Home's sophomore effort is highly ambitious, more aggressive and emotive than their previous releases. Drawing from the spirit of the NOH8 movement Sleepwalking Home have written an album that screams in the face of bullies and promotes a theme of hope and self empowerment.
The self titled track from the album "Army Of Skin" is an anthem targeted to those who are enduring the hardships of dealing with hate, bullying and lack of equality due to their gender, race, sexual orientation etc.
"We want to reach out to those who are dealing with discrimination because of who and how they choose to love, and let them know it DOES get better. We are rooting for you" said Lead Vocalist Michelle Ameen.
"We have poured every bit of ourselves into this album. We not only have something to say, but we want to help inspire others and help them find their own voice," said Ameen.
