Rehearsals, tours, band bookers, producers were the last thing on the minds of Jack Parker, Sam Rogers, and BB Hart. The trio were content with knocking out covers gigs for rent and beer money. But lush vocal harmonies and skilled guitar playing led to wondering what ideas of their own were dying to come out.
This was the start of Low Speed Bus Chase. While studying Music at the University of Otago, the band’s first album was made: The Thrill of the Chase. Whilst based in Dunedin, New Zealand bassist Jeff Bartels was enlisted to join the band to start playing live shows. L/S/B/C then made the decision to bring their music to Australia. On landing in OZ, a mutual friend suggested drummer Kyle Goldsworthy would a perfect fit for the band.
L/S/B/C made some collective decisions: give 100% at all live performances, produce new material collectively, and let Low Speed Bus Chase become the star.
