Chronic Town began the begin in 2004 as the SF Bay Area's premier REM tribute band.
Thier shows accurately reproduce the entire length of R.E.M.'s 31 year career of releasing top-notch and innovative rock and pop music. From the garage rock of "Radio Free Europe" and "It's the End of the World as We Know It" to the pure driving pop of "Losing My Religion", "Man on the Moon", "Imitation of Life" and more, Chronic Town delivers an experience not unlike the real animal.
In late 2006 the band decided it was the end of the world as they knew it and jumped the first box car out of town. The years went by and the members went their various individual ways but their love for this timeless music lingered on.
Then in 2011, Michael (re)built the bridge that had been torn down, paving the way for new adventures in hi-fi...or an imitation of life, depending on your point of view. We are (still) young despite the years.
Now all of a sudden, these days, happy throngs will take this joy wherever they go.
