Killa gens (Pat Evangelista) was raised in a middle-class family in St.Catharine's, ontario. At the age of 16 years old Gens fell into a routine of substance abuse as well as a passion for graffiti. Gens quickly then found himself in a world of confusion and charges. Coming from a city riddled with tags (graffiti) and a supportive community of hip hop, music fell into Gens hands through the underground urban scene. Holding down the more so truthful side of hip hop gens speaks from real life experiences: love, hate and violence. His songs touch on grim and graphic subject matter, but stays true to his life. Gens puts his heart on every song while bringing to the table an almost uncomfortable truth but at the same time full of relating subjects.
