Majur / Bio

Morgan Rhae Mutts
I was born January 3 1986 in New Haven Ct to Gloria Conyers Mutts and Dennis E Mutts. I spend my early child hood in New Haven in the “Day Street Projects” I moved to Greensboro North Carolina when I was about five where I took my first piano lessons and developed an interest in music. I stayed in Greensboro till the end of my elementary school and then moved to Concord North Carolina where I started to create my music. I am a music artist specializing in singing, rapping and song writing. I have been crafting this art since the age of seven. Growing up my friends use to call me “The Hook Man” because it was so easy for me to come up with a hook at the drop of a dime. I attended Methodist University in Fayetteville North Carolina for one year, and then transferred
to Winston Salem State University where I studied African American studies as well as Music. I have done shows within North Carolina as well as New York. I received promotions through Escalon Promotions, Kelz Productions, Carolina Execs,Concity Records, TNO Face, and Wgiv 103.3 The Soul Of Charlotte.
I have performed at clubs such as “The Wine UP”, several LGTB night clubs in the Charlotte including Club Scorpios, Club Nikkis, The Silver Fox, Blaze the Stage Concert and more. My influences are Lauren Hill, Raheem DeVaughn, Music SoulChild, Missy Elliot, Mary J Blidge, Busta Rhymes, T.I. and my mother. The Miseducation of Lauren Hill was the first CD I ever listen to beginning to end. It was the first cd where the words became important. Who is Majur? I’m the type of person that has to take charge in every situation I’m in. Majur means “MAJUR MOVEMENT” I am a Lesbian Music Artist that will break through to the music industry just as I am. No skirt, No tank top,
No “what the normal look of a female should look like”. I believe that people of the LGBT have to fight so hard to have rights in every other aspect. Why not music? I will be the spokesperson for my people through my music and I hope to have the necessities needed for everyone to enjoy my art “as one”.
