Inbar Bakal was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel and grew up in a very traditional home with Yemenite and Iraqi roots. She started as a child singer in a Classical Choir and participated in International Musical Festivals around the world. Inbar later served 4 years with the Israeli Air Force where she was the first female officer ever in the Anti-Aircraft Combat Division, then a First Lieutenant in Military Intelligence. She has been rewriting biblical texts using old Yemenite melodies. Singing in Hebrew and finding a unique world music sound, she met eclectic taste maker producer Carmen Rizzo with whom she began working on her debut album that features ancient Middle Eastern instrumentation with modern electronic production.
