ZANA made her solo debut on London’s live scene September 2011. But her musical narrative doesn’t begin there. Born and raised in rural Australia to a musical family, ZANA began learning to play the piano from the age of four – going on to be classically trained through her formative years.
It was in London that ZANA recorded her self-titled EP in her Cable Street studio, cultivating her electronic orchestrations with a new, wiser soul. Described as "a record that rises with the beauty of sun at dawn, and delves deeper and darker as it sets at dusk. Every electronic twist and turn is as palpable as a heart beat, while ZANA’s plaintive vocal leading the EP’s evocative narrative makes it a heart-stopping listen." (T.A. Ward). Word soon got out. Her debut at Rich Mix with Love Music Hate Racism attracted UK producers Will Ward (Circle Traps) and Debian Blak (First Word Records) to her work.
In 2015, ZANA released her 2nd EP 'Sketch' on home turf, with an accompanying music video for the title track.
