(for all TASHJIAN music go to tashjian.bandcamp.com, all songs are mastered at extremely high levels and the mp3 files are too large for ReverbNation to host)
"TASHJIAN is an unconventional rock and roll derby purveyed by two young men that live in New Jersey. They know not why they chose the name TASHJIAN to represent their band in the current culture stream, nor how two satellites orbiting different planets met to form the musical union of infidelity that their band is. What they do know is that they love tea and German automobiles, which inspire most if not all of the lyrics to their songs.
Harnessing the power of light reflected off of the moons surface they ferment a raucous and intoxicating brew of low brow riffing coupled with high brow tonality that escapes classification as "Pop" music, but with an eager ear one can discern the affinity for sound pressure at the sake of audio fidelity. Why they make music this way has confused most critics, including myself, ever since the band was conceived in April of 2011. However I can attest to the maxim that "maximum volume yields maximum results" with TASHJIAN in the same manner that Hip-Hop and Heavy Metal become more enjoyable with every twist of the wrist on the volume dial on your car radio. I cannot endorse TASHJIAN's socio-political views but I can attest to these two young men making important music that does not need appreciation but does need to be heard."
