Static Survivor / Bio

Robby Poffenberger -- former lead singer/songwriter of WhatWentWrong -- is a self-taught songwriter from Salt Lake City, Utah. Described in SLC Weekly as "upbeat rock," Static Survivor continues the musical journey of 19-year-old Poffenberger who already has extensive studio and gig-playing experience including two LP's, a stint on the local stage of the 2009 X96 Big Ass Show (hailed by TheLocalLanding.net as the best local artist of the day) and singing onstage with Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Static Survivor released The Last Catastrophe EP in November 2010 and held a limited release of the debut album "Shatter Belt" in August 2011. Robby is looking forward to an LDS mission this year and is fully committed to hitting the music scene hard when he returns home in 2014.

Beyond his music, he interns at KXRK, the no. 1 alternative station in Utah. He also writes movie reviews and arts and entertainment news for the Tooele Transcript-Bulletin, where he is also the copy editor.
