Jeff Koch is a singer/songwriter making spiritually themed roots-rock music, reminiscent of Eric Clapton, Jack Johnson, and Cat Stevens.
Jeff began his musical journey, like most of us, simply as an avid fan of music. His tastes first centered in the "classic rock" era of the late 1960's and early 70's, but quickly he ranged out to Jazz, classical, funk, world music, as well as traditional spirituals.
His love of music combined with a penchant and passion for literature (his major at the University of Michigan), and over time he noticed that music and words just seemed to fill his head. He figured he'd better write them down if only to concentrate on his work and family. (He has plenty to concentrate on there with six kids to chase around.)
Eventually, his wife challenged him to actually do something with all this music he'd written, so Jeff began a recording project which culminated in this, his first album offering: David's Stone.
So who or what is David's Stone? Each of us is a stone in the hand of that greater Son of David. We may seem of little account, yet we are flung out by Him whose aim is true, thrown in the name of the Lord to accomplish the mission of God Most High.
