Suzanne Savage / Bio

On hearing her name, some will recall packed concert halls and the sound of the orchestra tuning. Some will remember a cosy club with chic patrons and the whisper of jazz. Others will argue that she's the sound of the famous Soprano solo in Bill Whelan´s ´Riverdance´, others still will associate her with irish music legends Van Morrison, or Paul Brady. Another will tell you that she's on the frontline of the often electro driven, contemporary classical scene. They will all tell you this: Suzanne Savage blew them away.

Over her already impressive career, Suzanne has performed with musical royalty like Van Morrison, Paul Brady, Kokla, Elenor McEvoy, Juliet Turner, Roni Size, Jimmy Cobb, to name but a few. She has made radio appearances on BBC Radio Ulster, Dublin City FM, and television appearances with RTÉ, UTV, but also much further afield on Bulgarian national television. That's not to mention gracing the stage of numerous festivals like Queens Belfast Festival, UK/NY Festival (New York), SXSW (Texas), Blues Autour Du Zinc (France), and Luceana Festival (Italy).

Currently Suzanne is between Karlsruhe, Germany and Dublin putting the finishing touches to her much anticipated album, Jellymould, which she has co-produced with Holger Stenschke. The result is a distillation of a wealth of influences combining to create a unique sound that you simply won't hear anywhere else.

Jellymould will be launched at the wonderful Belfast Festival on Sunday October 16th, at the Black Box, 8pm, for the special festival price of £5!
