Since 2008, Starving the Tsunami have developed an almost cult following throughout Philadelphia. Over two years, they have played nearly every dive in and around the city, and they have relied almost exclusively on word of mouth advertising to spread their name. After months of time spent refining their complex sound during dozens of live performances Starving the Tsunami self-produced their first album, Onset Paranoia, in 2010. Finally settled into their technique, the band then almost immediately began writing for their sophomore effort. Now, with an explosive live show that has been described as a runaway freight train, the group proudly bears the slogan, “The Loudest Band in Philly.”
