Born in Queens, NY, this young, emerging artist has more than just a success story. Starting out from “Grandma's" Christmas Gift of a small boom box with cassette recorder, at 9 years old, this artist completed his first demo tape (Understand This, 2000). From that point on, he was convinced that music flowed through his veins like his blood. He built his first studio in 2004 and founded Backdoor Basement Entertainment, Inc. from the basement of his home in North Atlanta, GA. His intention at that time was to unite unsigned artists of all genres to come together on a journey to become an unstoppable conglomerate. As the number of booked shows and performances became abundant, success was shining on Backdoor Basement Entertainment, to his detriment, the young artist began engaging in activities that were not conducive to his music, successes, or youth. In 2008, at the tender age of 16, Black-N-Mild was incarcerated and his dreams were stopped short. Sentenced to two years in juvenile detention, he did not let this stop his writing, music, or drive. He stated, "This will never stop me, I’m make it to the top even with the last breath of me!" (One of the songs on his Motivation Music CD). He felt the stress and worry about how his artists were doing and his friends becoming competition. Black-N-Mild still managed to write two successful albums (From Cells to Mansions, 2008) & (The Art Of Love, 2009). Now 4 years later, at age 22, Black & Mild is in the final stages of developing his entertainment company and plans to blow through the competition and take over the music industry in a way that man has never seen.
