Raise The Flag started as a concept to re-introducing the ‘now’ generations to great Australian rockers such as AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, The Angels, The Screaming Jets, The Choir Boys, Sky Hooks, The Easy Beats, Billy Thorpe and a host of music legends that were the vanguard of Australian Rock N Roll.
This newly formed all-star band performed a few low-key shows in Tasmania to see how things gelled. Far from just a test run the band released an electrifying Salute to Aussie Hard Rock that left their Taswegian fans gob smacked, and walked from the stage with all the ingredients to rock fans across the country.
With an ever changing line-up, Raise The Flags originally featured explosive front man Dave Gleeson and fellow founder of The Screaming Jets, bassist Paul Woseen, Paul Wheeler of The ChoirBoys on drums with James Morley ex The Angels and Mick Adkins pumping the hard edged rock guitars through loaded amps.
The revolving doors are open as this band tours Australia, replacing individual members with fellow luminaries such as ex AC/DC and DIO drummer Simon Wright, ex AC/DC bassist Mark Evans, Izzy from The Screaming Jets and lead singer of The Poor, Skenie, at shows around Australia.
No Matter the line up, audience are guaranteed a hell raising powerage of Oz songs, the same songs that enslaved these performers souls to Australian Rock'n'Roll.
