Residing in Orange County, California, Jay cites some of his drumming influences as his former instructors, the late Jim Chapin, Chuck Flores, Rob Carson and Andrew Megna. After attending the P.I.T. program in Los Angeles, California, Jay put his knowledge to use with the band Trauma (Facedown/Strikefirst Records) on their release Solidarity.
