The Boomswagglers / Bio

"They are somewhat controversial in their lyrical content, and that's kind of what drew me to them in the first place. Their lyrics are cold as the world, and real as the illusion of reality, and that's what I love about these guys, they do not devoid from the harsh reality we live in, and they aren't afraid to offend people with their own lifestyle, and way of life. It's not all flowers in rainbows with these boys. They are talking about the reality of certain situations, and that is something I think we can all appreciate and relate to. Of course, it all falls under perspective, but the kind of humor I like is definitely in cahoots with what these boys are trying to do."

"Spencer Cornett and Lawson Bennett hale from Georgetown Texas, they are avid outdoors men, all around informed citizens, and yet they continue to be banned, and demonized in their own local venues. Mainly for their controversial lyrics, and rebellious attitude toward general authority. One you would expect from any freedom loving American... yet they are so laid back, and soulful in their delivery, which is what is so impressive to me."

The Boomswagglers are country....down to the bone. They possess a "boom-chicka" sound and thump that has been lost in country music for sometime, and for the most part. The Boomswagglers were signed to Hillgrass Bluebilly Records in late 2009 and will be releasing their debut CD on Hillgrass Bluebilly in early 2010. Hillgrass Bluebilly is ringing the dinner-bell for the "Raw & Primal" roots revolution & the Boomswagglers have their sleeves rolled-up & ready to chaw, pick & yodel, bringing country music back to the table for the workin man.
