Holly Maddux / Bio

Holly Maddux is a progressive death metal sextet from New Port Richey, FL. Officially forming in October 2008, these young men set out to create an original sound and deliver something invigorating to a genre ever so flooded with mediocrity. With one goal in mind, HMX began writing songs that satisfied the taste buds comprised of their limitless amount of influences, all the while keeping it heavy, and most of all, fun. Fusing genres together effortlessly and creating the perfect balance between beauty and brutality, HMX quickly gained a strong following from their local peers. Their high energy stage performance complimented by their exquisite execution of musicianship landed them opening acts for some of the biggest names in the metal and hardcore scene. Taking full advantage of being the local opener for the 2009 Thrash-N-Burn tour and the 2009 Night of the Living Shred tour, HMX showed no mercy as they decimated crowds of more than 800+. Playing more than 50 shows since March 29, 2009 Holly Maddux has shown they are ready to get their music out to the masses and will make sure every person in every audience will experience a party and witness the intensity that is, swampcore.
