Gehtika / Bio

!! NEW SONGS OVER AT https://soundcloud.com/gehtika !!

After slipping from lock and key out of the asylum, Gehtika swiftly began their transition from straitjackets to waistcoats, face restraints to face paint... from the psych ward to the stage...!

An insanely infectious gentlemanly façade feeds the tongue-in-cheek theatrical madness that is Gehtika's live performance. Combine this with their relentless onslaught of extreme metal, to which they add disturbing melodies, haunting lead-lines and contagiously catchy choruses... Gehtika bring you entertainment via insanity - an all out, no holds barred assault on the faculties, leaving you in a gloriously ecstatic (and healthy) fit of rage -
All whilst promising a bloody good spiffing time along the way!

After the Success of their 'Escape the Asylum' tour in the fall of 2011 Gehtika entered the studio with Rising Records to record their début album 'Unconventional Manicism' (released on 30th April 2012) and backed by management heavyweights The Flaming Arts, Gehtika set a UK escape straight after, continuing to stop at nothing to evade their captures.

With the recent digital release of their EP (produced by Justin Hill, Sikth) and music video to its title track, The Impossible Question - a thought provoking track which questions the beginning of time and its countless possibilities - Gehtika now look to spread their hypnotic insanity to both national and global audiences.

2013 has begun in quite the promising fashion with Gehtika coming first in Blackstar Amplification's sponsored 'Big Noise Evolution's Battle of the Bands' and triumphing in Birmingham's 'Metal to the Masses' competition, securing the honour of playing the New Blood Stage at Bloodstock Open Air!
