Foreign Objekts are a Hip Hop Crew from the Northend of Winnipeg. The group consists of ZedOne and Scriptone (Dustin Leach) , Narcotic Doses & Bleak.
Formed in 2005 the duo began taking their love for HipHop in a bigger direction and began writing their first Album “I Ain’t Playin”. The Foreign Objekts use the roots of Hip Hop, the love of the art and dope beats to create their unique sound. The Foreign Objekts continue to explore and make music with a new CD coming the end of Feb,Based on the Graffiti Element.
Released in April 2010 “I Ain’t Playin” is fifteen tracks of gritty underground hip hop. The tracks range from talking about art, community, life and Hip Hop Culture. The Album has positive tracks such as “What You Think of Life?”, a track talking about being positive and enjoying life’s ups and downs. “My Dream”, an autobiographical solo by ScriptOne about his path to becoming a role model and emcee.Look out for tracks such as "Beer and Cups" & "So Beautiful So Dangerous" featuring P-Nutt.
Foreign Objekts have done well over 50 shows over the last few years and are well known to rock a set, traviling to do shows in Northern Manitoba and Ontario.
ZedOne is an accomplished artist in Winnipeg focuses mainly on Murals and Canvas Art as well as custom tattooing. ScriptOne is the Battle of the Burghs Champion for 2009 and loves the freestyle. At the young age of 19 years he defeated many seasoned local emcees from Winnipeg to gain his title.
ZedOne and ScriptOne both live and work in the community with youth in Winnipeg. Foreign Objekts use their life experiences and talent to help other youth by running a Hip Hop Club and “Writers Bench”, a graffiti academy.
Foreign Objekts are now working on two more albums. One is going to be a solo from ZedOne and a new Foreign Objekts mixtape as well as an album of up and coming youth emcees.
