Whether performing solo, with her duo or her band, Julie Haven is an artist who has been capturing the attention of many people since she started gracing the stage at the age of 13. Performing from the smallest coffee houses, and eventually graduating to the largest festivals she has captivated audiences through her songwriting and unique interpretations of other popular songs. She blends her influences of Tori Amos' intricate piano work, the fire of Alanis Morissette, and the soul of Alicia Keys, to make a unique sound of her own. Writing from her heart and her own experience, she allows her audience to personally connect with her music through her songs of love, personal growth, and self-discovery.
Julie has released a number CD's: Where Do I Stand? (2000), Self Titled EP (2002), Bits and Pieces (2007), a 3 song demo (2010), which was produced by Andy Patalan and Tim Krukowski, (Sponge). November of 2012, Julie went in the studio to record a live album with her band at Groovebox Studios in Detroit, and released a music video for her song "Kill Me", which is featured on Vimeo. The album was released, July 25, 2013, and features 3 live bonus tracks.
She has performed at a number of festivals and venues, including Arts, Beats, and Eats (’08,’10,’11, ’12 and ’13), Motor City Pride, Hamtramck Blowout, and multiple cancer benefits.
