Dead End is a female-fronted metal band formed in late 2011, at Thessaloniki, Greece. Co-founders of the band are Marianna Oikonomidou (vocals) and Johnny Andrew (guitars). The rest of the members were constantly changing for more than a year until recently, when they started cooperating with Anastasia Iossifidou (violin), V. Markou (keyboards), Dimitris Mamas (bass) and Lone White (drums).
The band's style wasn't easy to be defined. Dead End began with an Alternative rock mood and through a lot of experimentation, ended up being characterized as Gothic, Dark Wave and more recently as Cinematic Metal.
About half a year after the band was formed, Dead End signed their first contract with Warner Music Greece and digitally release their first CD single, named "Fili", in June 2012. A creative summer follows and in August 2012, the band started recording their first full album, using Greek language only. Unfortunately, this album wasn't released.
In the beginning of 2013, the band started composing material for their first EP "A Memory of Light", this time using English language. After an exhausting winter and a series of recordings, the EP is finally complete.
The band is currently on tour, self-promoting their work and also composing material for their first full album, strictly using English language.
