Steve's musical tastes includes the, old, new, soft ,hard, danceable and sleepy. His influences started with the Everlys, Beatles, Cream, Zepp, Grand Funk, then included Alabama, Restless Heart, Marshall Tucker and Collin Raye. Lite jazz also became a favorite of his with the likes of the Rippingtons, Sting and Steely Dan. If you open his CD player, however, you'll most likely find Journey, The Beach Boys, or Michael Bolton! (so that's where Michael's been hiding!)
Consequently, Steve is a mixed-up mess! This is why you will probably not hear two songs that sound anything like each other. He has catagorized himself as "country" but he has other stuff up his guitar case! Steve will probably never call himself an "artist", but would rather be known as a successful "songwriter". More important to him is that he is just having lots of fun writing and recording and hopes you enjoy listening to his songs just as much!
Oh, and of course, last but not least, he thinks these songs would sound a lot better sung by somebody famous! So naturally, that is always an option! Have your peeps call his peeps!!!
