Singer/songwriter, lyricist, poet, animal and nature lover… In December of 2009, I wrote my first song, Stay Strong.
Songwriting started as an extension of the many poems I have written, an expression of life experience, and a way to create beauty drawing from the deepest and rawest of emotions. I enjoy writing songs about situations that slap me in the face and that connect emotionally with my listeners... and inspire all that’s positive. Being Jamaican born and raised, I love to write and sing reggae, but my genre expands to pop, classic rock and R&B.
I perform all the reggae tunes on my EP, and I currently perform all of my original tunes, but in the past I have worked with with other vocalists. Soulmate and Stay Strong are performed by my friend, Sabrina Lee Demonica.
Currently, Grub Cooper, one of Jamaica’s premiere musicians, arrangers and producers, has undertaken to embark on the production of an album with me. Grub Cooper has worked extensively with the Marley Family, including Bob Marley and Damian Marley and on album projects and with an impressive list of Jamaican and foreign artistes over the years.
One of Jamaica’s most successful songwriters, he has undertaken to pen a number of songs for me, the first of which is Pussycat. Pussycat and can be heard on my EP and we are currently in the process of marketing Pussy Cat. I recorded and produced the remaining songs, which represent a sample of what I like to write and perform.
I would like to work with a promoter, major publisher, or label looking for an artiste with unique commercial vocals and a captivating style, and/or to write for major artistes looking for original material written from the heart…
