Valkyr was formed in late 2006 by guitarist Anthony White, he was joined shortly after by Rich Butler-Lee on drums/percusion and then by Guy Frazer-Wright on guitar.
Since then they have had interest from various record labels and after only 5 months found themselves nominated for the "Best Metal Band" award in the "Cornish Live Music Awards".
They have now started on a short tour to promote their debut album "Chooser of the Slain"
