Tim Gysin / Press

““Piano man don't stop playing, was all I had in my head while listening to this [Hang On]. The song was great because they treated this like a 2000 pop punk song with old school melody. The piano work was amazing with beach key meeting the drum on time. I loved the shredding on the guitar and kick for pick playing. The vocals were right on point with everything! Not too in front and not too in the back, never going flat or missing a beat. Themes of kicking butt and taking names always leave me satisfied and I feel great. Good song for sure!” (ReverbNation, 2014)”

““This [White] is by far the best song that I have heard all day. I love how he starts the song with his seductive sweet voice. It sounds like he is really meaning and feeling what he is singing. I love this love song because it reminds me of my relationship. I like his pitch and everything about this song. This artist is a professional because he’s got the gift that everyone wants. Come on guys put this on the radio this is BRILLANT music. Great job.” (ReverbNation, 2014)”

"It was then turn for Tim Gysin and his band to give their shot at wooing the increasingly-growing crowd in Asbury. Gysin, who contributed ideas and lent his vocal talents to Friends in Low Places, wowed the audience with his musicianship, supported in part by Giancarlo Cordasco on drums."

"Tim, I think if they did a movie about Billy Joel's life, you would be cast as young Billy. Excellent and great, great vocals and monster piano player. Excellent, great job!"

"Tim, I don't know what I enjoyed more, your playing, your harmonica, your vocals, all three...knocked it out of the park, Tim!

"Tim, you sang Billy Joel's song so well that I actually think that the microphone smells like a beer right now."

"Is Tim the brains behind this stuff? He knows his business. Awesome, man."

"It's cool to see Tim have fun with his instrument. It's cool to see you let lose a little bit."

"I'm trying to figure out where you found that sound on that keyboard. I need to go make a track with that. That was awesome."

"The tremolo on the keyboard was amazing. It kind of drove the song."

“Well, his first name is Tim I’m sure I have that down. I believe his last name of Gysin. He sounds to like to me like a mixture between a Ben Folds of sorts and possibly a some broadway-esque of sorts. He has some pretty impressive piano stuff. I guess that's why everyone decided to go with Tim.”

“Waldwick's Tim Gysin isn't old enough to drink, but there he was at NJ Transit's Secaucus Junction train station Tuesday morning singing about "a bottle of white, a bottle of red, perhaps a bottle of rose instead." The 18-year-old recent Don Bosco Prep High School graduate was hoping the popular Billy Joel song, "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant," with its mellow opening and "fast rockish middle" would appeal to mixed crowd of commuters scurrying through the station - and to a panel of NJ Transit judges charged with selecting which acts will get to perform at its largest stations this summer and early fall. Gysin was one of a dozen auditioning Tuesday morning for "Music in Motion," a series NJ Transit has launched to improve the commuter experience, said John Durso, Jr. The program - a pilot - is modeled after the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority's "Music Under New York" program.”
