“I’m Not Okay, You’re Not Okay has the singer discussing his depression and hopelessness. The song changes from a funky fast-paced riff, to a slowed-down intense freak-out of sound, culminating in a lengthy Eastern sounding guitar solo. Adding to the song’s psychological nature is the unsettling narration featured at the beginning and end of the track. This is followed by the much shorter song Try. A more upbeat affair, this cheery song’s lyrics speak about each situation working itself out. While more positive than its predecessor, it also provides a heavier sound. The guitar solo which closes the track would not sound out of place on a heavy metal album. The album finishes with a tribute to Pink Floyd’s axe man David Gilmour. With the combined efforts of the band’s three guitarists, they find a sound very reminiscent of the man himself. With out-there lyrics and skilled guitarists,this is sure to delight lovers of psychedelic. Verdict: 5/6.”

"Their love for music got them together almost two years ago. The Urban EarlyMen band, a five-member band that has four of its members studying in college, was chosen as a finalist from India in the MRU Music Awards 2012 from the four bands of India that were earlier nominated for the Best International Act 2012 sponsored by DyNaMik Records. The band, formed in the summer of 2011, is a Psychedelic Rock band that draws its influence from Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Beatles, The Doors and many others that have an element of psychedelia. Siby Mathew, a Mass Communication student from IP University, who is the rhythm guitarist with the band, says that it was good to be nominated for the awards as it encouraged them to do better. “Though we couldn’t win the award, it was nice to be among the top five. At the end, it’s making music that we love and this nomination has given us the confidence to make better music,” he says."

“Their song "Try" has quite a jumble of sounds. The intro makes me tingle with a good dollop of ‘Temper Trap’ resonance; it does a massive hand brake turn into the 90’s and onto the set of ‘Clueless’. The illustrious guitar riff is enthralling but the track is quite haphazard. Further on into it there is a nice breakdown that shows that psychedelic influence but quickly diminishes into a drawn ‘Van Halen’ style solo. Although the habitual experimentation process is necessary, I am looking forward to the guys deciding on the style and flourishing with a sound that will only but jam itself into the corner of your brain.”

A song full of energy to fill u up with excitement and hold you on to its music listening to it in a monotonous manner. The Earlymen really showed the work of the digital world. Highlighting the confused drops of love that everyone faces in this great damn fake love world and the daily gestures and new styles etc etc of the people in love to each other, adopting new fashions and new ways to look attractive and how people fall in love due to these things. Well that’s not the topic of discussion , so in a technical and critical way a nice attempt by the URBAN EARLYMEN’s or I would say an effective one. Filled up with some great music stuff and solos over guitar the track marks a remembering note in every listeners mind In overall a powerful track with great use and highlights of the instruments and a real ROCK stuff I would say!!!
