Quality songwriting and superb live performances featuring harmony vocals and rootsy, guitar-driven folk-rock and country rock have been the hallmark of the Stragglyrs since the South Bay band formed in 2000. Band members are Tom Thompson of Sunnyvale on lead and rhythm guitar and vocals; Bill Mishler of San Jose on drums and vocals; and Chris Purdum of Mountain View on bass, rhythm guitar and vocals. The newest member is Hank Van Buren of Sunnyvale, on rhythm and lead guitar and vocals. The Stragglyrs have an ensemble band approach with all members writing and singing in various combinations. The Stragglyrs have released five albums featuring 75 original songs and have played hundreds of live shows in the Bay Area.
