“The Sonny Rhodes Blues Band played at Biscuits and Blues on June 3, 2011 driving all the way from Canada. Band members included Theo Brown, mainstay drummer for the band, Canadian-based Greg Smith on guitar and picking up one of the finest bassists in the Bay Area, Randy Bermudes. They kicked off the proceedings with a good selection of four standard blues tunes. Smith proved to be an expressive vocalist and innovative guitarist with an enthusiastic delivery. Brown is such a solid drummer and his tasty support fueled Bermudes’s bladelike articulation on bass.

A good night for blues at biscuit and blues on a chilly San Francisco night.
he club was filled with an appreciative crowd and they were even sang along at one point.Unusual for a blues crowd. The streets were bustling with activity as well so I guess a good night was had by all.
