The Long Johns are a five-piece ska influenced rock band from Tampa Florida.
Since forming in 2007, they have played all over the southeastern US, including the House of Blues in Orlando and the Masquerade in Atlanta. They have opened for national acts such as Big D & the Kids Table,Left Alone, Whole Wheat Bread, Teenage Bottle Rocket and Magadog.
The Long Johns sound is a fusion of 90s ska and powerpop, and is driven by the passionate voice of Stephanie Summerbell.Guitarist John Sisson, bassist Josh Dykstra and drummer Eric Long are the musical core of the band, with Brian Ferreira providing additional punch on trombone.
