In 2006 the Bisig Impact Group brought the Four Roses Bourbon Kentucky Bluegrass & Bourbon Experience back to the Louisville region. A highly popular festival in the early 1980's, the event was re-introduced at its original home on the Belvedere at the downtown waterfront. In 2009 the event was moved to the Louisville Water Tower. A new addition to the event in 2011 was burgoo, a traditional Kentucky stew made from multiple cuts of meat and a bounty of vegetables. And now in 2014, yet another piece of Kentucky tradition has been added – bourbon. Since 2000 the Bluegrass genre has experienced an explosion of popularity nationwide. Nowhere is that more powerfully demonstrated than right here in our own Kentucky bluegrass-grown backyards. Four Roses Bourbon Kentucky Bluegrass & Bourbon Experience captures the essence of what has made it so popular-a musical experience that comes from the soul in a way that grabs your ears and your heart and simply won't let go—treating guests to three days of music by Bluegrass bands from around the country. Add all this to a family friendly environment that includes the Courier-Journal kids' play area with inflatables and other active attractions, and a beautiful riverfront setting, and you have a Kentucky-style recipe for one of the most highly attended festivals in the region.
