The Buzzrays started gigging around Brisbane in 2013 but the band members have a long history of playing in bands in Brisbane and Perth. Their “Circus” E.P. was released in late 2013, hitting the 4ZZZ Top 20 charts, and is available on Bandcamp. The Buzzrays were also selected to record a track (Silver Linings) at Tym Guitar’s inaugural “12 in a dozen” event. 2014 sees The Buzzrays gigging further and heading back to the studio. The Buzzrays don't use phasers, they set distortion pedals to stun. MALLORY VANETTI A songtress from the moment she came to life, Mallory has been busy creating the band you will no doubt be hypnotised by. And I'm not just talking about Mallory (seriously, this is one good looking band)! But even more mesmorising than their on-stage presence, is the intricate music melodies inter-woven with upbeat drum rhythms that are sure to get you all up and dancing. THE BEAR HUNT For a band that originally came from Townsville, these guys aren't half bad! Not that I'm dissing Townsville, but seeing as these guys arrived on the scene in Brisbane last year, I'm gonna go ahead and blame them for summer. ALL OF IT. However you'll forgive them for the ridiculous amount of sweat you will generate (even in winter), once these guys kick your balls off with their brand of alt-psych-rock. A band that knows how to get you in the mood by a singer that will soothingly scream lyrics at you, guitar solos that will make you drool, amazing drum techniques that need to be seen to be appreciated (the best description here would be flailing) and smooth bass lines that you will want to curl up with at night and cuddle.
