With his debut, self-released cd, Stayboy Stereo is a new solo artist on the musical horizon.

Having spent his early years in Milwaukie, Oregon playing & singing thru elementary school (he was in his first band in 6th grade, playing drums), Junior High & High School, he decided to take a break for a while & explore the other options in life.

Once he moved down to Los Angeles in the mid 80's he played in a variety of bands as a latin percussionist, most notably in "Live Nude Girls". They received moderate success in the LA area, doing a video, and playing at The Roxy, The China Club, The Cocoanut Teaser, & various other clubs around town, and were championed by the "Swedish Eagle", an alternative DJ who gave them a moderate amount of airplay.
After many personnel changes & a grueling day job made it difficult maintain enthusiasm, he decided on semi-retirement. A chance meeting with Duncan Shiek led to an offer to play in his band. After a few rehearsals, it was evident that he wasn't quite ready for percussion just yet, as everything else still had to fall into place. He thanked Duncan for the opportunity & graciously bowed out of the band.

Now, with almost everything available to anyone with a home studio, he decided to explore the music that has been percolating in his head for several years. Some say that his music sounds a little like Kruder & Dorfmeister, Tosca, Zero 7, & Groove Armada, without the big dance vibe.

Heavy on the hypnotic beats and melodies that invoke movement, rhythm, he mixes styles from Electro, House, Downtempo & Funk, for a unique listening experience.
