Sky Onosson is probably best known as a founding member of The New Meanies, who have released four albums since forming around 1990, including the Virgin Records release "Three Seeds". Sky has performed on the same stage as: Deep Purple, Dave Matthews, Alice Cooper, Paul Rodgers (of Queen and Bad Company), Little Feat, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Beach Boys, Bruce Cockburn, Big Sugar.

Sky Onosson: Full-length Biography:

Sky Onosson has been a musician since the age of five, starting on keyboards and then moving on to bass, guitar, saxophone, and trying his hand at pretty much anything he could put his hands on.

Sky is probably best known as a founding member of Winnipeg's the New Meanies, who have released four albums since forming around 1990, including the Virgin Records release "Three Seeds".

As a member of the Meanies, and in other groups, Sky has performed on the same stage as: Deep Purple, Dave Matthews, Alice Cooper, Paul Rodgers (of Queen and Bad Company), Little Feat, Parliament/Funkadelic, The Beach Boys, Bruce Cockburn, Big Sugar, and many, many other acts, at venues all over North America.

As a sideman and session musician, Sky has played and recorded with Twilight Hotel, Scott Nolan, Romi Mayes, and a whole host of notable roots/folk/blues acts from Winnipeg. Sky has also been a member of such diverse acts as the rootsy Motel 75 (along with singer/songwriters Scott Nolan and Dan Frechette and guitarist Grant Siemens, of the Corb Lund Band), the punk-influenced Hot Rollerz (featuring Joanne Rodriguez of American Flamewhip and the Vagiants, and Sarah Dugas of the Duhks), and the aggressive and experimental band Volume, among others.
