Sidewalk Dave has been branded as “The Beatles on whiskey, instead of acid or pot”. The band formed in 2007 under the name “Sidewalk Dave” which was originally the lead singer’s (Dave Van Witt) nickname. Van Witt was named Sidewalk Dave after championing an unusual childhood that left him homeless at 16 years old. Now with the lesson of camaraderie burnt in their minds, the 4 members play for what Sidewalk Dave represents; courage and brotherhood.
